Pipe Relining Sunshine Coast
Sunshine Coast’s trusted team for pipe relining
If a drain on your Sunshine Coast property keeps blocking, or a plumber has found a cracked, root-invaded or collapsed pipe, you don’t have to dig up the yard to fix it. Pipe relining rebuilds the pipe from the inside – a new pipe within the old one – with little to no excavation.
DYFA Plumbing relines sewer, stormwater and drainage pipes right across the Coast, backed by CCTV inspection before and after and a long-life guarantee. It’s faster, cleaner and very often cheaper than digging up and replacing.
What is Pipe Relining?
Pipe relining – also called no-dig or trenchless pipe repair – is a way of repairing a damaged pipe without replacing it. We insert a resin-saturated liner into the existing pipe, inflate it so it presses against the pipe walls and cure it in place to form a smooth, jointless new pipe inside the old one. Once it sets, the liner does the structural work – sealing cracks, bridging gaps and locking out tree roots – and can last 50 years or more.
Because it works through existing access points, there’s rarely any digging, no destroyed gardens or driveways – and your drains are back in service fast.
How Pipe Relining Works
- CCTV inspection. We send a camera down the drain to find the damage and measure exactly what needs relining.
- Clean and prepare. High-pressure water jetting clears roots, grease and debris so the liner bonds properly.
- Insert the liner. A resin-soaked liner is positioned across the damaged section.
- Cure in place. The liner is inflated and left to harden into a solid new pipe within the old one.
- Final inspection. A second camera run confirms the repair is complete and watertight.
Signs You Might Need Pipe Relining
- A drain that keeps blocking no matter how often it’s cleared
- Tree roots found in the line – very common in established Sunshine Coast suburbs
- Cracked, leaking or collapsed pipes
- Recurring sewage smells, or several fixtures draining slowly at once
- A CCTV inspection has already shown pipe damage
It usually starts with a blocked drain – and if the same drain keeps failing, relining is the permanent fix.
Pipe Relining vs Replacing the Pipe
| Traditional Dig & Replace | Pipe Relining | |
|---|---|---|
| Excavation | Trenches dug across your property | Little to none |
| Time on site | Often several days | Frequently a single day |
| Disruption | Gardens, paths and driveways torn up | Minimal - no reinstatement bills |
| Lifespan | New pipe | 50+ year liner, guaranteed |
| Tree roots | Can re-enter at new joints | Sealed out - jointless liner |
What we reline
We reline sewer pipes, stormwater lines and general drainage – from a single cracked section to a full run. Sewer pipe relining is one of our most common jobs on the Coast, where old clay sewer lines and mature trees are a bad combination.
How much does pipe relining cost?
It depends on the length, diameter and condition of the pipe and how accessible it is – but relining is very often cheaper than excavation once you count the cost of reinstating dug-up landscaping and paving. We always CCTV-inspect first and give you a fixed, upfront price before any work starts, with interest-free financing available.

- Hot water system repairs and replacements
- Blocked drain clearing
- 24/7 emergency plumbing for issues like burst pipes
- Tap and toilet repairs

How long does pipe relining last?
A relined pipe typically lasts 50 years or more, and we back our work with a guarantee. The cured liner is a structural pipe in its own right.
Is pipe relining cheaper than replacing the pipe?
Very often, yes. Once you factor in excavation and reinstating your garden, paths or driveway – relining is generally more cost-effective. We quote both options upfront where replacement is genuinely the better call.
How long does pipe relining take?
Many jobs are completed in a single day, depending on the length and condition of the pipe. We’ll tell you exactly after the CCTV inspection.
Will you need to dig up my yard?
Rarely. Relining works through existing access points, so in most cases there’s no excavation at all – that’s the whole point of the no-dig method.
Does pipe relining stop tree roots?
Yes. The liner forms a smooth, jointless pipe with no gaps for tree roots to get back into – it’s one of the best long-term defences against root intrusion.
What pipes can be relined?
Sewer, stormwater and general drainage pipes – in a range of materials and diameters. A CCTV inspection tells us whether relining is suitable for your pipe.
